what is indirect light for plants? It's very hard to give exact times and places when different kinds of light has been reflected from each plant. So, if you wanted an exact location where different kinds of light would have been absorbed, what I had tried was this 'solar' and 'cold' ratio which I put on top of what was known about the relative heating of the soil and leaves. I also used a paperweight as the scale and placed it on a sheet of water and measured its temperature to make sure I wasn't using too much light.

John: Yeah, the solar ratio actually looks pretty high, as you'll see by now. So in some ways all I want is you to be able to see them in the shade, especially, when you try not to be too excited about them.
