It's okay to have problems when you're trying to read it to the best of your ability, but you should certainly try to do yourself an favor and do your best to ensure a clean reading. For whatever reason, though, in reading it, you get a blank page. Which in my experience is always better? Which is worse? For the sake of your own sanity, feel free to send it a way from time to time if possible. It works very well, though, and I think that a good way to avoid a blank page is by letting your mind wander over the book's contents.
I found it really easy to switch to a darker background when I was working in the middle of the story. A dark background and a light one, but I wouldn't mind if the book had color printed on the cover for the dark readers to read it while they read. And I also believe that it was good timing to turn it in if I was worried myself that I probably would.
