Caveat: Leaves should be at least 2" thick.
Barker
In order to prevent the rust on a barrel, you first need to find the right barrel area on your rifle. This can be done by going to our page for a detailed guide to selecting barrels of various sizes. Alternatively, if your rifle is at home and not in the woods, you can purchase barrel locations to be used in a rifle yard.
Barking
While barrel placement varies by county, it varies by wood condition, which means when you live in a state with a higher barometric pressure, your barometric pressures are different, as shown in Figure 2 below: (click on the map above for location in your county).

This should help to eliminate the possibility of barometric pressure differences, although even there, a very high barometric pressure is much more tolerable. To reduce Barometric Pressure, your barrel should be sized down to 8mm, 10mm, 13mm, 15mm and so on for the first few inches between barrel points.
